James Cupples & Co are a 3-piece band fronted by the unmistakable voice of James Cupples and featuring popular Italian and English vocalist Lisa Mio. James is one of Australia's most recognisable voices. His TV appearances include:

The Footy Show, Good Morning Australia, Kerri Anne Kennerley, The Midday Show (Ray Martin), I.M.T., Steve Vizard, The Denise Drysdale Show and he is currently participating on The Voice on Channel 9.

His band credits include:

Reflections Of, The Committed, Nine Steps to Heaven (Christine Sullivan), Seymour Duncan, O’Rielly’s Bride and Rapture. James has supported artists such as Dionne Warwick, Deep Purple, Ross Wilson, and James Reyne.


Since the 1980’s James has made numerous appearances on radio and television including Steve Vizard show, IMT, Denise Drysdale, Good Morning Australia, The Footy Show and The Midday show.

James migrated from Britain in 1970 and was born into singing family. He toured around with his parents at an early age. Since then James has worked on the Midday Show, Steve Vizard Show, IMT (In Melbourne Tonight), Denise Drysdale, GMA with Bert Newton and toured the US performing in over fifteen venues which finished up with performances at the legendary "Whiskey A Go GO".

He recently worked with Debra Burne, Peter Cupples and Ross Wilson at the Palladium (Crown Casino). James has co written songs for the drama TV show Neighbours including the title "If I Had You and After Tomorrow". He has been the support act for Dionne Warwick, Ross Wilson, James Reyne, and one of his favorite bands Deep Purple.

James is currently a contestant on The Voice on Channel 9.
