Testimonials & Reviews
Recently we secured Soul Chic to play at a corporate dinner at our venue, located within Victoria University. As we were working on behalf our client, it was very important that the band lived up to expectations. There was no doubt at all from the very beginning. The repertoire they played was highly suited to this type of audience and it was really evident the players were loving what they do. Georga, heading up the band was a delight to work with. We would definitely refer them to any client hosting a business or social event with us.

INTRODUCING: SOUL CHIC: TAKE A BOW RIGHT NOW.
I've found something special. A talented octet that makes and bakes the Jazz/Soul cake at cuisine level. I commend cover bands. I'd rather hear good covers well covered than bad originals straight from or for death row.
Soul Chic have adapted their chosen songs and added their own musically intelligent touch. The blend or sound mix is just perfect and the sound engineers/recording studio are to be applauded and exampled. My radars rarely get treated to this high standard. Delicious, pitch perfect harmonies are delivered with clarity.
I can't distinguish the two female vocalists, so matched and tight are the pitch perfect harmonics.
The band here has an ideal approach to backing the vocals and not overwhelming them. Vital to this context. They work nicely as a team and that drum level is steady and just right.
Lovely, interludes from the keys. I have to single out the guy on brass as one of the best saxophonists I have ever encountered. Weaving, circling, rolling like a wave and maintaining a dreamy tone, here is potent talent in its own right.

I want to say a BIG thank you to Soul Chic for the super fun and enjoyable night we had at our wedding reception. We received so many compliments about "the band" during the night. Even until now (almost 1.5 months later), people still commenting on how great "the band" was and ask us how we knew "the band".
Having a cocktail reception, Kieran and I agreed that music would be a pivotal element of the night. Soul Chic definitely didn't dissapoint us. Georga always assured us that the night was going to be great. She was wrong. The night was perfect!!
Looking forward to seeing you in your future gigs.

We engaged Soul Chic to play at both our wedding ceremony and reception and it was the best decision we made! They were professional and accommodating from the start and it was clear that their only concern for the night was to make sure that we were happy. We had a guitar, cello and vocalists at the ceremony and the music was magical. At the reception the full band engaged well with an audience and knew how to work a crowd. At one point in the night I looked back over the venue and it looked empty – everyone was on the dance floor! The music was outstanding, a lot of guests commented that we had raised the bar when it came to wedding receptions. The atmosphere of the whole night was relaxed, fun and full of the right kind of energy and we attribute a lot of this to the great music selection which was put together by both us and Soul Chic. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a band to play at their party - they really made our day special.
